Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
Sideline Talent Pool (“the site”, “we”, “us”) is designed, developed, and operated by EVRlakes Digital LLC. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the site handles and why. The site has no user accounts and no login.
Information you choose to give us
Newsletter (The Sideline Sheet)
The newsletter signup form on this site is provided and hosted by beehiiv, our newsletter platform. When you subscribe, the email address you enter goes directly to beehiiv, which stores it and sends the newsletter on our behalf. beehiiv may also record technical details such as your IP address and email open or click activity, under its own privacy policy. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every issue.
“Submit a move” form
If you use the Submit a move form, we receive the information you type in: the school, the person’s name, their role, the type of move, and, if you provide them, a source link, your email address and notes. Your email is optional and is used only if we need to follow up about your submission. We also store the time of submission, a country code supplied by our hosting provider, and your browser’s user-agent string, to help us spot abuse.
Submissions are stored in a private database (Cloudflare Workers KV) that only we can access. We review submissions by hand; nothing is published automatically, and we only publish a coaching move once we can confirm it from a public source. We do not publish submitters’ email addresses.
Email to us
If you email [email protected] or an address at sidelinetalentpool.com, we receive your message, your email address and anything you include. Mail sent to sidelinetalentpool.com addresses is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to our EVRlakes Digital inbox.
Information collected automatically
- IP address for rate limiting. To prevent spam, the submission form keeps a short-lived counter keyed to your IP address. The counter expires automatically after about one hour.
- Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Analytics. The site does not currently use an analytics or advertising tracking service. If that changes, we will update this policy.
Cookies
The site itself does not set cookies, and there is no cookie consent banner because we do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Some third-party services the site loads may set or read their own cookies or similar storage:
- The beehiiv signup form loads inside an embedded frame from beehiiv, which may use cookies or similar technologies under beehiiv’s policies.
- Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies (for example, during a bot check).
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser information when the fonts are requested. Google states that the Fonts API does not set cookies.
Service providers
- Cloudflare (hosting, the submission function and storage, email forwarding, security)
- beehiiv (newsletter signup and delivery)
- Google Fonts (web fonts)
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except these providers (to run the site) or where the law requires.
Publicly sourced coaching and staff information
Most of the site is a directory of college football coaching staffs. That information (names, titles, and work email addresses where a school publishes them) is gathered from schools’ public athletics websites and from Wikipedia, and each listing links to its source and shows the date it was collected or checked. We do not collect coaches’ personal (non-work) contact details. If you are listed and something is wrong, out of date, or you would like it removed, see Corrections / Data Removal.
Retention and security
We keep submissions and emails only as long as we reasonably need them to verify moves, respond to you, and keep records of what we published and why. We delete move submissions and the contact details attached to them within 12 months of receipt, unless we need to keep a record longer to support a published correction or resolve a dispute. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Rate-limit counters expire automatically. We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, such as access-restricted storage and encrypted (HTTPS) connections, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices and requests
You can ask us to access, correct or delete information you sent us, or ask about how your information is handled, by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time. To stop receiving the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any issue.
Children
The site is intended for a general adult audience (coaches, athletes, families and fans) and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
The site links to many external websites, including school athletics sites, Wikipedia and job boards. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. We will post the new version here and change the “Last updated” date above.
